One More Day...

...until I get back on the scale.  Okay, guys.  Trying really hard to stick to it.  I set up a little mini goal for myself last week, to work out four times this week AND lose 1.5 pounds.  So far, I got to the gym three times, burning over 500 calories each visit, PLUS I skated Wednesday night and burned another 500 calories.  Technically, I could count the skating as a workout, but I'd like to get one more workout in today.  May need to just head down to the basement and work out on the elliptical instead of going to the gym, because it takes a lot more time out of my day to go to the gym, although I LOVE IT!

I want to thank Amanda at Get to Goal for my first ever blog award.

I promised to pass it on, so here goes.

The Rules:

1. Answer this question: If you had the chance to go back and change one thing in your life, would you and what would it be?

2. The second thing you have to do is, pick 6 people and give them this award. You then have to inform the person that they have gotten this award.

3. The third and final thing is, thank the person who gave you the award.

So if I had the chance to go back and change one thing in my life, yes, I'm sure I would, and that definitely would have been to take the weight off sooner, to NOT GIVE UP so many times and to have confidence in myself, to realize that I AM WORTH it.  I would also have loved the chance to be more active in my 20's and 30's instead of waiting until now.

So now I have the opportunity to pass this award along to 6 people.  They are:

Amanda at Get to Goal (hitting you back, girl!)
Marisa at Trim the Fat
Heather at Leading the Weigh
T.J. at TJs Test Kitchen
Tricia at Endurance Isn't Only Physical
Lindsay at Health Stride

You are all such an inspiration to me and I love reading each and every one of your blogs!  Thanks for keeping me going when I needed it!

Well, now it's off to start my Freaky Friday routine, running from 10:00 a.m. to about 4:00 p.m., taking care of all my weekly errands.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  4. Thanks, Amanda. I'm hoping the number goes down. I don't know about the 1.5, but as long as it goes down, I'll be thrilled!

Kathleen, skating is the best exercise! I skated as a kid and after I graduated high school. Went a couple times a week and LOVED IT! I was always overweight, but it's when I stopped skating that I really started packing on the pounds. About a year and a half ago, I went back to skating and never stopped. I got once, twice, sometimes three times a week. I've looked it up on line and skating is actually a cardio equivalent to running! Atleast the way, it is...FAST! I love it!

Thanks, TJ! I love checking on on your blog, and love your picture collage at the top of your page. You look incredible!

Hi, Heather! The leg lamp.... oh, my gosh, LOVE IT!
