My weekly weigh-in on Saturday was successful. Stayed the same, which is great for the week after my half-marathon. I have struggled in the past with staying at goal while running longer distances, because I'm so hungry after a long run and find myself straying from "the right foods". I've tried to manage that better lately, and so a no-gain weigh-in after training and the half-marathon was successful for me.
So I had a tough weekend with tracking my points. Even though at goal for almost three years, I still feel it's crucial to my success to continue to track. The weekends are my problem. I usually stick to it pretty well for breakfast and lunch, but for some reason, weekend evenings I just slide. The same was true this weekend. Actually, honestly, I tracked close to nothing all weekend!
Today, it's back to the game plan. Tracking just makes me feel good, in control, I know what I'm doing. I am in control.
I ran on Saturday but it wasn't such a good run for me. Maybe I was tired. Maybe I was dehydrated before I even started. Maybe I was fighting a 24-hour bug ( was sick Saturday night), or maybe it was just an off day for me.
Today was much better. Went out and ran the same distance as Saturday, but just felt much much better.
I realize that I am bound to have bad runs, and I have to just accept them and move on. No different than the WW plan. You're bound to have a bad day. Accept it, let it go and move on.
