Well, we made it through the storm with no damage, and really, we were very lucky. Have a tiny bit of dampness in the basement. Others weren't so lucky. In the town right next to us, there was pretty bad flooding.
I have not even ventured out, but hubby was out bright and early this morning inspecting the neighborhoods and checking on a few elderly friends.
So it's been an interesting week between our little earthquake and then Hurricane Irene.
It's been a good week other than that. Went to my weekly meeting and weigh-in yesterday and glad to report that the scale went down 1.6. So some of the changes that I put into place along with all the running/training last week definitely had an impact. Hoping for a repeat this week. Baking cupcakes this afternoon was definitely a step in the WRONG DIRECTION. :) But hey, I haven't baked all summer. It was time. I made regular cupcakes and minis. I can have them IF I COUNT THEM. That's key.
I did make a pot of the Weigth Watchers veggie soup last week and it was delicious. In fact, it's almost gone. This week, I'm returning to another old standby, a big pan of roasted veggies, including eggplant, zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes. LOVE IT, and it's another thing I haven't done in a long time.
Drank a lot of water last week, although I haven't been keeping up with that this weekend. I was so distracted yesterday by the hurricane, couldn't sit still, and wasn't focusing much on what I was eating or drinking. So time to get that straightened out.
Have three runs planned for this week, 3.0 mile speed run, 4.0 mile easy run, and 8.0 mile long run, which was the one I was supposed to do today. Won't have my running buddy with me for the long run this week so I might be taking some of my "virtual running buddies" along to keep me company. Ha ha!
Well, time to go get dinner ready and relax for the evening.
New goals this week? New changes? Hit me up, what's your plan for the week?
