Wow, more snow. More snow? Did I really need this right now? No, but there are some things in this world that are beyond are control, and weather is one of them. Oh, well. I'll hibernate and work today and worry about clearing it tomorrow.
Got the go-ahead from the doctor to train for half-marathon(s). Even though I slipped on ice and twisted my back and am hurting, that should resolve in a few days, and then I'm good to go. I told him about the fact that my back is so much better when I'm running and working out a few times a week, and that when I'm not and I'm just sitting in front of this computer working all week, I am in a lot of pain. Normal. Exercise is a good thing. Really? Who would have thought.
Of course, he wants me to do some research, find a training program/regimen to follow and don't overdo. If I have pain, slow down or stop. Don't run through the pain/numbness.
So I'm excited! Hoping that by tomorrow, I'll be feeling better and can get back to the gym again. I'm also going to continue doing run/walk intervals for a while.
And watch out for the ice! Yeah, that's a marvelous idea. Must send someone out to get me some more rock salt. This storm that's coming through now is snow, then a mix of sleet/rain, ice, and then another hit of 6-8+ inches of snow on top of that. I always loved the snow, but this year (maybe because of my back issues) not liking it too much. Must find some time to just get out in it and play, make snow angels, build a snowman, have a snowball fight. If I had children, I certainly wouldn't get any work done in snowy weather.
