Unstuffed Cabbage -

First of all, thanks so much to Arlene from Food of Love for posting this recipe last month. I've had this recipe sitting on my desk for weeks, and today was the perfect day to make it, all ingredients here and no need to run to the store!

Well, it looked and smells fantastic as it was cooking! And it was delicious. Make quite a bit too. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take a picture but we'll probably have it again tomorrow so maybe it will show up then. Anyway, what an easy way to get the taste of stuffed cabbage without all that work. And Arlene, you're right, the flavors gets through the meat much more than when I make the traditional stuffed cabbage.

Now, the down part of the day....those Devils Food cookies I made for a bake sale. I was trying to get rid of extras from Christmas baking (chocolate chips and coconut). Well, the recipe didn't quite make enough to sell at the bake sale....and unfortunately, a few (maybe more than a few) ended up ...okay, let's be honest. We know where they ended up. I didn't think I'd have such a problem with baking cookies, but I have absolutely never made such an irresistible chocolate cookie. So although the recipe will go in the recipe box, it's not something I'm can make any time soon. They'd be a great gift for those chocolate lovers though.
