Should I Stay or Should I Go....

Oh, so now that song will be in my head all morning.... The Clash!  Might be a new ringtone.
Anyway, I'm already off track and this post hasn't even started!

The decision this morning, do I head out to my meeting, the scales, and "face the music" or stay home, stay on track for the week and go next Saturday with a better result.  After returning from a totally awesome Christmas vacation in sunny Florida, the scale has taken a hit which has put me up over my goal range.  With Weight Watchers Lifetime status, as long as you don't go over more than two pounds above your goal weight, you can attend meetings at no cost, but you don't have to attend meetings every week.  You can skip, go once a month.  I'm up over that two pounds and would have to pay if I go to my meeting.

No, I don't want to see the official number that will be written down on my weight record, and no, I don't want to have to shell out the cash when the number goes above goal.  And yes, I could definitely put the extra time to good use this morning if I was to skip the meeting.

But the meetings are still so important to me.  It helps me to stay focused each week on what I want, which is to STAY at this healthy weight.   I have already returned to completely focusing on a healthy lifestyle, eating fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats, healthy fats and staying away from a lot of the processed food, but part of my normal routine is also the weekly meeting.

So my decision is that I will go to my meeting to give me that extra boost.  I LOVE THE WEIGHT WATCHERS PROGRAM, the meetings, the friends I have met during my Weight Watchers journey.  It's a part of my life now.   I look forward to it every week.  So off I go to get ready.

Hope you all have a totally awesome weekend, and get out there!

  1. Great decision! Sorry I couldn't stay and catch up this morning. Poor Dave is miserable, and I didn't want him making everyone else sick too! I hope the scale wasn't as painful as you feared, but know that no matter what it said, you are in control and will get back under your goal weight. You're a running machine!

  2. Thanks, Kim. It was what I expected. I'm okay with it. I know what to do and how to do it. Got all the tools I need, which include friends like you and Dave.

P.S. Forget to tell you I saw Shirley the weekend before we left for Florida. She was asking for you.
