Monday morning....I could have slept for another 2 hours, all snug and cozy under the extra blankie, but yes, it is the first day of the work week, time to get it moving.  And I haven't been to the gym for two days.  Yep, time to GET IT MOVING.

Oh, before I forgot, my weigh-in was good this week, down 1.5.  Okay.  I'll take it.

I had such a nice weekend, but not the best nutritionally.  Really?  Yeah, really.
Yesterday was "Apple Day".  We take a trip up to visit my sister-in-law once a year.  She has two great big old apple trees.  We pick tons of apples and then sit all day peeling apples and making applesauce.  I'll post pics later. They're on hubby's camera, and he's still in bed.  It was such a nice relaxing day.  She made ham and bean soup for lunch and served it with a beautiful loaf of whole wheat bread.  Delish!  I did have a soft pretzel on the way up in the car.  Other than that, the only thing I munched on was apples.

So the weather has definitely changed here on the east coast.  Fall is here.   54 degrees right now at 10 minutes to 8:00 in the morning.  Would be a great morning to run, but I got up a little later than usual and just getting my first cup of coffee as I write this post.  Ran on the treadmill Thursday and Friday.  Felt great to run again.  First time ever running on a treadmill.  I have to say that I definitely like running outside better though.   Supposed to rain again today though so I'll head to the gym again.  My legs felt those two runs all weekend, top front part of my legs.   But it's a good feeling!

Now, decision time.  The 5K that I ran in last year (my first) is in less than two weeks.  I'm thinking of running it, but not sure if I should.  I WANT TO, but am I pushing it too fast?  I've only run twice so far and that was on the treadmill, much different than street running.  Have to see maybe another day this week when I get out running on the street to see how it feels.  I may just wait until a few days before to make that decision.

  1. Trust your body! It'll tell you if you are ready or not! I love the fact that the weather is changing. I get sooooo tired of the heat. Congrats on your loss!!

  2. Thanks, Kathleen. The weather change is nice. Little chilly here this morning though. Have to get the window air conditioners out (once I get somebody to do it for me). Can feel the draft coming right through!
