Halloween Weekend????

Really?  It's Halloween weekend already?  Where is the time going?  Wow!  Guess I better go get some goodies for the kiddies, and then try hard as I can to KEEP AWAY FROM THE CANDY BOWL!  And now hubby just started a few days ago for the first time counting points.   He's doing great, but I don't know how he's going to handle Halloween candy in the house.  Hey, he might do better than me.  Who knows.  Never been in this situation before.

Went to a Halloween Party Wednesday night with my "hippy costume" from last year, but changed it up just a bit.  Had a lot of fun!  Not the greatest picture but....oh, well.  It IS Halloween.

So nice fall weather predicted for the weekend.  Sounds like RUNNING WEATHER to me.  I'm going to make this post short so I can finish my work in hopes of....yes, getting out for a run.  It will be a short one, but my intention is to get in three short runs today, tomorrow and Sunday.  Time to get back.  I feel good.  The knee is a little sore but doing better every day.  The swelling has really started to go down now.  Yeah!

What's cookin' this weekend?  I have plans to make a big pan of stuffed cabbage and freeze in smaller portions.  I am using beef and pork in the filling so I don't know that they will be very points-friendly, but hey, as long as I count the points, that's what matters.  That's what why Weight Watchers worked for me.  I can eat whatever I want, as long as I manage my points properly.

Next weekend is our carwash/bake sale.  That means there is some baking in my future this week.   Think I might get out my mini loaf pans and make some banana breads and pumpkin breads.

Tomorrow is my weigh-in.  Hoping for another loss, but honestly, it's really been a difficult week.  So if it doesn't happen, I wouldn't be surprised.

Oh, I almost forgot, TIME TO CARVE THE PUMPKIN!  Wow, I put it out on the porch and almost forgot about it!

Well, hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!   I'm off to get this weekend started.

  2. My kids come home with all that temptation, it is hard. I LOVE chocolate and I usually keep frozen dark chocolate kisses so I can't just eat a handful but this time of year is WAY too tempting! Have a great weekend!
