So I went to my meeting/weigh-in this morning. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. I gained 2.5 and right at my 2 pounds over goal. So I did not have to pay for the meeting, which was an added bonus.
And I feel renewed. I bought a three-month tracker and a couple of new cookbooks to treat myself for making the decision to still go to the meeting even though I knew it wasn't going to be great for me (and turned out better than it was yesterday).
So I'm determined to make it a GREAT WEEK, a fresh start, and I'm excited. I've set a few little goals, a weekly goal and a six-week goal. My weekly goal is to track, track, track, to stay totally on program this weekend, and to drink water, water, water.
I realized yesterday that most of the fluids I am drinking these days are coffee, coffee (some decaf) and diet iced tea, hardly any water at all. So I pulled out my old 32 oz. Weight Watchers water mug and my goal is to do what I used to do, three a day (three mugs that is).
I'm very excited about the week. I think my goals are attainable, my plan manageable, and look forward to next Saturday's weigh in.
I am also excited because I know that my gym reopens on Monday, and I have already arranged my work schedule for the coming week to allow myself time each day to get to the gym. I have a number in mind of how many calories I want to burn each day, and a total for the week.
Goals are a good thing for me something I hadn't really paid attention to lately.
So here we go! Ready, set, go!
