Move That Scale!!!!

Well, this morning I'm up and ready for a brand new day.  Spent the afternoon and evening last night on the boardwalk in Seaside, New Jersey.  Hadn't been there in a bazillion years.  It was so great.  Some things have changed, some have not.   One of the things that has not changed is the food.  From the moment you get on the boards, you're overwhelmed with it.  It's everywhere!

I wasn't really hungry when we got there so I just had a diet coke.  Eventually, I passed the Polish Water Ice stand and couldn't resist, but controlled my impulses and had a child-size sugar-free cherry.  It was delish!

Eventually, I was hungry after walking the boards for about 3 hours and riding some rides.  I went for a slice of "Three Brothers" pizza.  Okay, seriously, their slices are SO HUGE!  One slice was the equivalent of two large slices.  Seriously.  Wow, that ate into my daily points.  Then we did some more walking, walking, walking, walking.  I ended the evening with a child-size orange and white cone from Kohr's.  YUM!  That was my treat.

Okay.  I thought that was the end of it, but on the way home, I realized that I needed a little protein (not much protein on that slice of pizza).  Stopped at a WaWa and grabbed a small bag of almonds (okay, they were smoked almonds, not such a good choice) and a bottle of water.

So anyway, I feel like I've been a little off lately in my handling of the foods I eat.  I'm usually good during the week (except for yesterday), but have been "not as good" on the weekends, not awful, but just not tracking.  That's okay if I want to maintain, but I would still like to get those last few pounds off to be where I want to be.

After reading the post yesterday from Sheryl at http://msbitchcakes.blogspot.com/, I am inspired and ready to change that behavior in order to get me where I want to be.  CONGRATULATIONS Sheryl on reaching goal!  You look amazing and are  such an inspiration!

Now, I realize that I have to get on the scale in two days so what I do today and tomorrow is probably not going to make a big difference in the scale this week, but it WILL make a difference.  And this weekend, it will be different.  First of all, more activity and tracking, tracking, tracking everything I eat!  And WATER, MORE WATER.  I plan on getting lots of activity in cleaning up the garden and tackling the garage, major cleanout.  That's going to be a major task.  I'm going to wear my nifty heartrate monitor to see how many calories I burn accomplishing those two things.

Today, it's back to the gym for another cardio workout.  I didn't get to the gym yesterday, although I did manage to squeeze in a 30-minute hula hoop workout, burning 150 calories, AND I did walk for 5 hours on the boardwalk.

So here we go.  Time to put it all together.   AND TIME TO GET TO WORK!
