Lovin' Life

Wow, it's been like 5 days since I posted.  That time went by quickly, even considering that husband is still sick.  This cold he's got is taking it's good old time.  He's getting better, but so slow.

It was SUCH  a great weekend.  Spent Saturday grillin and chillin with a friend that I've had since the 8th grade.  Sunday spent the day having a picnic with my family, brothers, sister, husbands, wives, nieces, and nephews.  It was awesome!!!!

Of course, I took the hula hoops to the picnic yesterday.  I hooped so much tht I actually have bruises on shoulder blades.  Not kidding.  Just learning how to move the hoop up to right under your armpits and keep it up there and then move it back down.  What a workout!  Anyway, didn't realize until this morning that I was bruised.  So much fun though!  And now all the kids want me to make them hoops.

Oh, and I weighed in on Saturday, and the scale is going back down.  Hooray.  Hopefully, I can keep at it.  This weekend was a little rough, but maybe not so bad as I'm thinking.  And I got to the pool today and swam laps for 40 minutes, at the end of which I got a horrible cramp in the front of my leg, tendon where I had the surgery.  That was rough.

Made sauteed swisschard and beans for dinner with whole wheat pasta and salad with fat-free caesar dressing.  Yum!

In close, can I just say that I am having so much fun living life these days.  Really, I am such a different person, and even with all the normal stresses of life, I can't help but smile.  A friend emailed me this picture today and it really shows just how I'm feeling after spending the weekend with family and friends.  It was taken a few months back when we went out shopping together, just two friends who have been shopping together since we were kids, and still feel like I am.

We had so much fun that day, just like back in high school!  Hope the fun never ends!
