So I'm feeling so much better. Headed to the skating rink yesterday for a great 4-hour session. All our friends were there, and I got a lot of good activity points in. I also managed to squeeze in a little work in early in the morning (my real job) and also spent an hour in the garden. After dinner, we sat out on our balcony for about an hour. Nice evening.
This morning I got up, made breakfast, and straight to work. I was able to get out and get a nice run in, 3.6 miles. I'm a little frustrated though. Tried to pick up the pace a big and though I was, but when I came home and did the calculation, I'm still doing an 11 minute mile. I want to improve on that. I'm hoping to get more running in this week. Tomorrow, the weather isn't looking so hot.
Oh, and by the way, I think I really am getting younger instead of older. Went to Five Below and bought three more hula hoops, different sizes, and two jump ropes. My plan is to bring them together with our bocci ball set to all the family picnics this year. Great way to keep me away from the food tables!
So now it's time to get back to work for a while... if I can manage to concentrate with the wonderful smell of dinner in the air. Checking out something new, Heather's crockpot enchilada chicken. Made my own enchilada sauce. Also just went out to the store and brought some small flour tortillas (1 point each), Cabot 75% cheese, fat-free sour cream, and vine-ripened tomatoes! Can't wait for dinner. Smells soooooo good in here.

Way to go! You are doing so awesome :) 4 Hour skate session AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteReen, I'd be THRILLED to do an 11 min. mile!! I'm still trudging along at about 13!
ReplyDeleteDinner sounds yummy!
Marisa, you're doing great! Atleast you've had the nerve to sign up for a half-marathon! Haven't heard anything about me doing that, have ya? So I guess we're all doing great. I won't fret so much about the time, but I would love to get it to ten....some day. :)
ReplyDeleteLindsay, thanks. Skating has been my love for the past year or so. I used to skate as a kid a couple times a week, even after I graduated high school, and then as I packed on the pounds, it just went away. But I always dreamed of skating.
So now I go every week, sometimes two or even three a week, if there is nothing else going on. I LOVE IT!
hope youre having a great week!
ReplyDeleteI am DEFINITELY having a better week. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteEnchiladas in a crock pot sound too good to be true! I hope you enjoyed the reduced- fat Cabot cheddar.
