Yep. Had a bad one yesterday. Don't know how it happened or why, but I definitely feel like I FELL OFF THE WAGON AND HIT MY HEAD! !!!!
The day started off good. Got up to a beautiful morning, sun shining, birds chirping. Nice. Got myself ready and out the door to my WW meeting and weigh-in. Okay. Still good. Weighed in, down .6. I'll take it. The number has been bouncing up and down that half a pound for a month now. Can't break free. That's okay though. It's nice to be at goal, but I'm not "there" yet. Want a little more off.
Still a beautiful day. Went home, had a quick 4 point sandwich and 2 point Fiber One bar and then out with Hubby to a bike auction to find spare parts for bikes. No luck. After that hubby was hungry and wanted pizza. I said okay, I can handle that, and I did. He got his pizza, and I ordered a small tossed salad with light dressing. The salad was HUGE. So I'm still doing good.
Headed down to Walmart and Target for a few things then headed home for some much-needed gardening. That's where it all went south. I got incredibly grumpy, cranky, hmmm, I could find other words for it, started snapping at hubby and everything went downhill. The rest of the day, I was a little out of control. Cooked filet mignon for dinner and I ate way more than I should have, plus a small sweet potato, corn on the cob, salad with too much dressing, oh, and let's not forget the cocktail before dinner with the crackers and hummus (which I DID NOT weigh and measure).
Was I done there? Well, for a while. Sat outside and watched the sun go down. That was nice. Fell asleep for a while watching tv. Then I decided I needed something really, really sweet. With no Weight Watchers ice cream in the house, I opted for a skinny cow cut up into chunks, mixed together with two sugar-free Reeses cups and some fat-free cool whip.
Okay. All in all, when I look back on it now, doesn't seem totally out of control, but I definitely felt like I had fallen off the wagon and hit my head and was fighting all day not to just stick my head in the fridge! I felt like I was spiraling out of control, but maybe I wasn't. Maybe it was more like struggling to keep control.
The crackers and hummus were definitely not good. I have no idea how much I ate, but hey, there's still hummus left in the container so how bad could it have been, right? And the crackers only filled a tiny little bowl (maybe a cup and a half) and they were mostly broken pieces. Could have been worse. There are unopened bags of pita chips in the house, and I could have eaten the entire Bag!
So I'm leaving it all behind now and moving on. I can't let it get me down, although I really don't understand what happened and why.
Anyway, now that I've owned up to it and put it in writing, I feel better and will move on. It's going to be a GREAT WEEK!

Don't be to hard on yourself! That sounds like a VERY busy day to me! Have a GREAT next week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lindsay and Amanda. Today has been a much better day. I've decided to write off yesterday between all the extra points from yesterday and the activity points I earned with skating today, I'm probably not as bad off as I had in my head. So I'm going to scratch off an extra ten off my weekly points allowance, not count the activity points from today, and hopefully, that should take care of it.
ReplyDeleteHoping to get a few good runs in this week, which will help as well. AND THERE'S ALWAYY THE HULA HOOP! Do you hoop?
I bought three more hoops yesterday in different sizes to take to family picnics, along with two jump ropes! Thinking I'm getting younger, not older. :)
