I'm sure everyone has been struggling with the same thing (or someone) as I have, that darned Easter Bunny!
I did okay the first couple of days, but then I ended up diving into that candy basket head first, or atleast it sure seemed that way.
But I got past it, moved on, and continued doing what I should be doing, what I know works for me, what makes me feel good, and that's eating healthy and satisfying meals, fresh fruits and veggies, and lots of water.
The results? Well, I was kind of nervous going to my meeting this morning. Thought it might be bad, but actually, somehow, the scale went down 1.8! Yeah! The Bunny has been defeated!
Been a busy day. After my meeting, I headed home for another cup of coffee and a quick bite to eat. Then off to pick up race packet for tomorrow's half-marathon. We also went to the park with Aimee's two boys for a short run. They are training for their first 5K. Ran 2.9 miles today. They're ready.
Now I'm just enjoying a nice glass of red wine before we head out for dinner. Looking forward to pasta dinner (carb load) and then an early night. Need to come home and make sure everything is set out and ready for the morning...and coffee pot is set! Going to be an early start for us.
Looks like a warm day tomorrow. Should be a great morning for a race! I AM SO ANXIOUS AND EXCITED!!!
