Yep, already into week #3 of the training schedule I put together for my first half-marathon. Today was a speed run, the weather was GORGEOUS and I did well.
Starving when I came home so I threw together a wrap with some sliced turkey, homemade hummus, spinach and sauteed peppers and onions from dinner the other night. A little strange, I know, but I needed protein and fast! I'm thinking later when it's closer to noon, I'll break out that new blender and mix up a smoothie with some frozen fruit and Greek yogurt.
Dinner? Hmmm, don't really know. Guess I better think about that. Have a baby shower to go to tonight. So it will have to be something quick and easy. I know I have a whole bunch of swiss chard in the fridge. So I might just cook that down and have it with leftover sausage from the other night.
I'm still sticking to my goal to drink more water. I have a 3 liter bottle that I fill up each morning and make sure that it's empty before I go to bed. I think that's like 12 8-ounce servings or something close to that.
WHO ELSE IS DRINKING A LOT OF WATER THESE DAYS AND HOW MUCH? I know that Weigth Watchers changed their thing about daily fluids and said it DOES NOT have to be water, but for me, water seems to work better.

Wow you're doing great!! So glad we've had a few days of really awesome weather to enjoy and make training easier. I also drink water as my primary beverage. Sometimes if I'm out to eat I'll choose unsweetened iced tea or seltzer with lemon. But at home it's water, eater everywhere!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, yeah, baby shower on a Tuesday night. It's kind of an odd situation. They're having it where the woman works, kind of a surprise.
ReplyDeleteWoodie, so right about the good weather. I am so happy about that! But at this point, I'll have to work around any bad weather, and looks like I might have to do that this weekend, huh?
