Crabbing at the Shore

Today was SUCH A GREAT DAY!  Went crabbing with my husband and my brother.    We were up at 3:30 a.m. this morning, on the road by 5:15 a.m.  Early start to the week but so glad I went!

I don't get to spend a lot of time with my brother.  He works so hard between his job and his family and working on the house.

It was so great to spend the day with him.  Hoping we can do this more often, especially with football season just around the corner.

The weather was perfect....for a while anyway.   I mean, really, look at that sky!  The clouds reminded me of a snow-covered mountain range in the distance.

I was able to sit in the sun for a while and try to get a little color.  But not too long.  After a while, out came the bottle of suntan lotion.  Yes, I burn quickly and try to be extra careful.

This Irish girl does take many chances in the sun these days.  Too many days with painful sunburns and sunpoison...like on my honeymoon.  Ouch!

We caught almost four dozen crabs today  and had a lot of fun.  But I'm just having one of those hungry days where I just constantly feel the need to eat. I tried to surround myself with a lot of healthy choices.

I have no clue how many points I hate today.  I was kind of just nibbling.  I'm going to try to track it all and see how bad it is.  The only thing I can really say that wasn't good choicewise was the four or five little peanut butter cookies I hate.  Other than, english muffin with ham, egg, and cheese, a turkey and cheese sandwich on light bread, one-half at a time, cherries, celery and peanut butter, carrot sticks, 5 cooked crabs, one light beer, and 1-point Fiber One bar, oh, and a skinny cow single serving.  That's it?  Really?  Well, that doesn't sound so bad.

So tomorrow goes back to normal, up early, lots of work to catch up on, and LOTS OF ACTIVITY POINTS TO EARN THIS WEEK, starting tomorrow.  I'm planning on getting back to the gym tomorrow NO MATTER WHAT!  Tomorrow and Wednesday are the better days for getting to the gym and so I'm going to do my darnest to get it done.  Thursday I may be at the beach again, in which case, hopefully, I'll do a lot of walking.
