Good Results

Went to my weekly weigh-in and meeting yesterday. Down 1.6! Yes, finally! I really stuck to it this week and worked hard for that 1.6.

After my meeting, I was supposed to eat lunch and work in the yard all day but it was SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY! So I did something I never do on a Saturday after a meeting. I went for a run. I don't know why I've never done that before, other than the thought that Saturday was my "day off" but if running is something I enjoy, why not? I wanted to break in my new running shoes (yep, finally made it official and bought running shoes".

Anyway, it was a beautiful day. So I went for a short run and that set me up for a great day. Then after lunch, I worked in the garden clearing out flower beds, diggin out roots, moving plants, planting elephant ears. It was another three-hour workout in my book. My back is really aching this morning but so glad I got it done. Now I can focus on the back yard and the vegetable garden.

Today is a big day for me. I've organized a fundraiser (skating party) and today is the event. It's my first step in working with the community so I'm a little nervous but hopefully, it will be successful. It's a two-hour skating session for the fundraiser, plus I'm skating a four hour session before that. Call me crazy, but I love it. Of course, I'll probably be taking it easy and taking the skates off here and there. The foot is bothering me again, almost like it was before surgery. Very frustrating but I'm not going to let it stop me!

So hoping for another good week staying focused and on program and hopefully getting lots of activity in. Beginning of the week, weather is not looking so hot but I'll be getting plenty today. So we'll just see how Mother Nature wants to handle the rest of the week.
