Well, fellow bloggers, last week seems to have been a better week for me. Got on the scale yesterday and lost 1.4. COOL! I call that a great success. I made better choices during the week, got my activity in and tried to use less of those activity points.
I've taken two days off from running to give the foot/ankle a rest and I am about to hit the pavement now for a nice Sunday morning run. After that, I'll deal with the rest of the day. Have a lot of different things in my head that I could do today, either stuff around the house that needs to get done (cleaning out the garage, switching summer/winter clothes, blah, blah, blah) or stuff for me, going out for the day and wandering around some stores. I'll make that decision after the run.
So here's to another good week. Last night I went to a benefit which consisted of all the wrong foods, hot wings (oh, my gosh, are you serious!), potato salad, coleslaw, beer...but there was also hot roast beef and big bowl of salad. So I dealt with it in my head before I got there, and I had one bloody mary, two light beers, a big bowl of salad (brought my own dressing) and a small plate of roast beef. That was definitely a success for me. I DID NOT TOUCH the hot wings. That's what I call a good start to the week.

Oh, Reen. I'm so sorry to hear about the surgery! I don't even know what to tell you regarding to train or not to train. Do what feels good, not only for your foot - but in your heart. If you already have to have surgery, then part of me says "what does it hurt to run". However, you're speaking to a fellow injured runner. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather. Right now, I'm going to go for it and keep "training". Feels funny to use that word in my life. But anyway, if it gets too much, I'll reassess, but right now, I'm okay with it.
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me. I was thinking of you yesterday while I was running. You're training for the 10K, right? That is incredible!
Hi Reen!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm freaking out about Saturday!! Are you???
YIKES!!
